About the role
BDR means Business Development Representative. People ask us for moving quotes every day, and speed wins: the mover who calls first usually gets the job. Your job is to reach every lead within minutes, have a real conversation, and book them with our sales team.
In the winter, when fewer customers contact us, you create the conversations yourself: past customers, real estate agents, property managers and seniors' residences. This is a sales role, not customer service.
About Last Stop Moving
Last Stop Moving is a fast-growing moving and storage company in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We do local and long-distance moves and portable storage, with a crew of movers and drivers that grows every season. Our office runs on Slack, Google Workspace, SmartMoving and many AI tools, and we are building a remote team in South America.
What you will do
- Call and text every new lead within minutes of it coming in.
- Follow up on every open lead daily (call, text, email, voicemail) until they book or say no, and close out the dead ones.
- Take the customer's inventory on the call and book an in-home or video estimate with our sales team. You never guess a price to get off the phone.
- Do outbound when inbound is slow: past customers, realtors (text works best), property managers and seniors' residences.
- Log every touch in SmartMoving with no duplicates, and report your numbers every day.
- Hit daily activity targets: dials, conversations and booked appointments.
You are a fit if
- 1+ year of outbound calling, appointment setting or inside sales for North American customers, and you know your numbers.
- Clear, confident, friendly spoken English that North American customers understand easily.
- You can hear 'no' 50 times a day and still sound great on call 51.
- Organized: every call gets logged, every follow-up gets done.
This is NOT for you if
- You want a customer service job. This is sales.
- You need inbound calls to stay busy.
- You would rather quote a low number than do the work of booking the estimate.
Setup you need: A quiet place to work, a noise-cancelling headset, 50 Mbps+ internet, and backup internet and power. This is your only job during your shift.
How we hire
- Apply through this listing with your resume in English. We then send you the application form for this role (about 30-45 minutes, in English). It asks how you would handle real situations from the job and for a short video. Write your own answers: we compare them with your video and your interview.
- We review every application. If you are moving forward, we contact you by WhatsApp or email within 3 business days.
- Video interview with our Sales Manager, including a short live task.
- Offer, then a 3-month trial period.
We never ask applicants for money or bank details.
